Rug under table

Something I have always loved: (Persian) rugs under dining tables. Last winter we bought a sisal rug for this spot, which you can see here. But while we loved the look, when I found this Persian rug via Marktplaats, I knew I had to try it for this area. And if you ask me, it adds the perfect amount of dark colors for this area. Let’s see more!

So I bought this rug secondhand and if you are a regular reader of this blog you know already I am a huge fan of rugs, and especially Persian ones. A quick count led me to 9 rugs in our house, and I’m pretty sure we’ll reach double numbers soon enough. I just love the sphere they instantly add to any room – and not to mention the stories that often come with them. That’s what I love about vintage items, they’ve lived a life before. Heck a lot of items in our household are literally older than I am, ha :)

As you can see a lot of colors are happening here! Colorful chairs, color on the walls and now even a colored rug. But in my humble opinion it all works perfectly together since it’s all in the same color scheme. Muted colors – as I usually call the color scheme I prefer.

With this big array of rugs in our house I love the idea of being able to switch it up – so I’m sure this rug will see many more rooms in our house. But for now, here is perfect ♥

Thank you for reading!

Love, Marrit
