Peonies season is here! And what better way to celebrate this classic flower with a classic vase by Lyngby Porcelæn. I have always admired the classic shape and look of these vases, so I immediately knew I wanted to pair it with an equally classic flower, so a peony it was.

So as I said, I have loved the classic designs by Lyngby Porcelæn for a long time already. The design dates back to 1936, and it’s history like that that makes me love a piece even more. I am a sucker for vases anyway, like this Muuto beauty I shared a while back here on the blog. Vases can be used all around the house; like I did here on the fireplace, but think of a window sill, kitchen, or nightstand as well. These days with the dried flower trend, even the most sunny window sill can hold a vase & flower combo.

Because this vase is of a smaller kind, on my table I like to create a still-life with several pieces. Because this vase is such a classic design, it goes with everything. You can combine it will all sorts of shapes and colors, or keep it classic by adding only similar pieces. This photo above feels more eclectic, while on our fireplace it is more classic, with the soft tones and shapes together.
Another favorite of mine from Lyngby, is the Rhombe vase. It’s round, and such a classic as well.

Peony season is always quite short, so I’ll enjoy it for as long as I can. But luckily after that, we’ll still have the vase ♥
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day!
Love, Marrit
