Do it yourself: leather handles

We were looking for new handles to use our built-in closet in the bedroom but right on time I realised I call myself a DIY-blogger. I’ve seen these handles several times so sorry for not being that original but some DIY’s are too pretty not to share!

This closet needed contrasting handles because everything surrounding it is white. Although I really love whites, sometimes you need a darker color to even it out.

I used an old leather belt so I cut of a piece that would make the perfect size handle. You can make it as big or small as you like! Check out the picture above to see how I folded the leather belt. There are many possibilities, for instance you could also do a round handle. Because I liked to show the black screw I chose this design. There is no need to drill a hole in the belt, since the screw can make the hole itself.

It took me less than 5 minutes and I think the result is pretty cute! It keeps reminding me how nice it is to surround yourself with stuff you made yourself.
