When Sostrene Grene asked me to collaborate on their “Party Collection” and I saw that it also had a kids theme, I immediately knew I wanted to host a small party for Mia. I dressed up her room, set her table and the fun could begin. To top it all of, I DIY’ed a new lamp for her. Let me show you :)

This table & chairs set has been in our daughters room for a long time already, and it was the perfect place to set the table. I gave the girls a small plate, and a bowl filled with some heart-shaped candy. Some glasses for water and vases and it was done already! So cute, right?

I decorated her room with some ornaments and it immediately felt like a party. Sostrene Grene asked me to be conscious about using the party decoration more than once and this is something that resonates with me. As they are not only too pretty to throw away after using it once, for the environment it makes much more sense holding on to them and use them again and again.
As you can see, I did a little DIY as I created a new light for her. I promise it’s very easy :)

The idea is to combine different shapes, sizes & materials to create 1 big interesting showpiece of a lamp. I combined a honeycomb, some lanterns & pompoms all of different colors. It’s best to start with your biggest piece and work your way from there. I used string and simply hung them at different heights. In the end I added a lightbulb in the middle and you’re done!

All these soft pink tones work really well with the rest of her room and the new light even spreads a super romantic diffuse pink light. And when we feel like we’re done with these decorations, we simply store them in a box so we can take them out when we have another party. But for now we’ll leave them here, as my daughter loved it!
Thank you for reading and have a great day,
Love, Marrit
PS. This post is part of a collaboration with Sostrene Grene. I only work with brands I love.
