I’ve written about the posters from MrStarsky before. I really love the thought behind these posters, the personal idea of it.
At their website you can create your own personal poster, that will show you the sky full of stars as it was at the birth of your child. Every poster is different, because the sky is always different – depending on the moment and location of looking up. How cool is that?
Their first poster was a collaboration with Studio Kars+Boom but now they collaborated with a new designer, Marta Abad Blay. I have been a longtime fan of her illustrations and an item with her work was on my wishlist already. So when MrStarsky offered me the possibility to try a poster with their new design, I didn’t hesitate to say yes!
I’m thinking it will take our daughter some time to realize that this poster is actually about her, but I bet she will like it anyway. Next to the sky full of stars, the poster also contains 5 illustrated constellations that centered the specific sky. In Mia’s case; giraffe, small bear, lion, big bear & dragon. This offers us a possibility to practice animals with her once she grows older. A poster that is nice to look at as well as educational, what more could we ask for!
Yes, I’m that mom who spies on her kid while sleeping :) I just think it’s the cutest thing that Mia sleeps on her belly, I can’t help it. When you lay her down, she immediately rolls over. And then pulls her legs up (or sticks her butt up in the air, depending on how you look at it). So cute!
So if you are looking for a nice poster for a nursery, look no further. The poster is available in 3 sizes and I think they would make a great gift as well to a friend, wouldn’t you agree?
