Stokke Sleepi

A while ago I got to give away a Stokke Sleepi bed via my Instagram and last week I made one beautiful pregnant lady very happy! Definitely one of my favorite collaborations as I could not only give away a beautiful bed, I could also photograph a nursery and mom-to-be ♥

The best part about the Stokke Sleepi is that you can use it from birth up to 10 years, see chart below. You buy it as this cosy round bed and as your child grows, you buy extension kits and change the size and shape of the bed. This way you can enjoy this bed for many years and it will suit whichever needs your child has depending on their age.

On Instagram I asked my followers to show the babies/kids room in a photo and I immediately loved the photo Hilde posted. A natural looking nursery with a beautiful daybed and soft colors. I knew the Stokke Sleepi would look fantastic there and as I expected, she chose the natural color. It was very lovely meeting her and seeing the room in real life. I will show you all the details but first let me give my top 3 tips for a beautiful nursery:

  1. Combine old & new; while you probably want some items for your baby to be new, the combination of these items with secondhand/vintage ones is what will create a personal room. This might be a commode or closet, which you can paint in any color you prefer.
  2. Don’t forget rugs and curtains; for any room in the house I would suggest adding rugs and curtains. This gives the room instantly the cosiness you want for a nursery. You can add neutral tones to keep it calm, or use these accessories to add some color.
  3. Small accessories to finish it off; this really adds the finishing touch to any room. A small nightlight, blankets over the bed, maybe even a vase with some dried flowers. Small items really can make all the difference.

As you will see in the photos below, Hilde did a great job creating a cosy and comfy room for their baby. I loved the small details and how it all blended in perfectly together. So I would suggest to simply have a look at all the photos I took in this room. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did making!

Thank you Hilde for your hospitality and showing me around your beautiful home. And a big thanks to Sabine & Stokke for letting me do this lovely collaboration ♥

Love,

Marrit
