HAY Neu13

By now you all know I love designer chairs. Sometimes I feel a tad ashamed about it, but most of the times I look around blissfully happy with the sight of all those beautiful chairs. Over the years I’ve collected a few classics, some popular already since the 50’s. But today on the blog I’m talking about a new chair in town: the HAY Neu13. I liked the look of this chair the minute I saw it, such a simple design and it comes in great colors. I first saw this chair in the color bordeaux, but I eventually chose the green and I will explain why.

So while I fell in love with the bordeaux version, I chose green because that matched our house better. I’ve always been a fan of plants in a home, but I’ve added a lot more in the last months. So by adding a green chair I’m letting this color come back. It’s also a great way to let the sitting and dining area match each other. Always keep this in mind while decorating: if you want the room to be outbalanced, make sure the colors match or at least – don’t go too far apart.

Some chairs are good because of the complexity of their design, and some are so good because of their simplicity. HAY chairs are usually pretty simple and I like that. No nonsense design!

So our table is now joined by a versatile range of dining chairs. I love to mix and match, when it comes to designers, models or colors.

This HAY Neu13 chair is designed by Sebastian Wrong and offers you the possibility to choose between a lot of colors, as well as 4 different wood finishes for the legs. I chose oak because it would match our oak floor the best.

So the perfect addition to our more-and-more-green livingroom! I’ve always been a fan of mixing chairs on the dining table, and I love it even more now that I’ve added colors as well. Someone once asked me why I didn’t choose 1 chair for the dining table, and my reply was pretty simple: I would have no idea which chair to choose, out of all those amazing designs. So this way I can use them all! Thank you for reading and have a great day!
