Our bathroom is the only room in the house we didn’t fully renovate, mostly due to financial reasons and it was pretty decent. Not our taste, but decent. So with the resources we had, we tried to make the best out of it. First we painted the window frames black and later the ceiling. But I found myself missing something, and feeling the full black-and-white look wasn’t completely my style (anymore). So I did some research on how I could improve this room and found it with these beautiful towels and bath mat from HAY. I’ve been a long time fan of this design brand, so no wonder I like their bathroom accessories as well! So a little bathroom makeover on the blog today!
A new bath mat is an easy way to give your bathroom a little makeover. I’ve loved this line from HAY ever since I first saw it and thought the yellow would work really great with the black and white. And it does! It feels like summer, and adds a lot of warmth to the room. Exactly what I was going for.
The towels are very big (70×140), thick and fluffy. They feel very luxurious! So next to them looking good, they are very comfortable as well.
Next to the yellow towels I also added some more green plants. I chose dark green plants, they work great with the yellow and black.
So while this is still a bathroom we would never choose ourselves, I think that by adding the black accents, the green plants and now the yellow towels, we made it match more with the rest of our home.
So if you are looking for an update of your bathroom without wanting to spend a lot of money, consider a bath mat and ” target=”_blank”>some new towels. Some green plants always add a lot of sphere, so that a great option as well. Good luck and have fun! :)
