A new collaboration with Sostrene Grene on the blog, this time to promote their “Party Collection“. Count me in! Especially because it featured beautiful tableware and if you know me, you know I love hosting dinner parties.
Gathering our friends for an evening filled with food and conversations makes me really happy. You take the time to catch up with each others life, and in the meantime enjoy the food, maybe some wine.. You know the drill. And while our house is very colorful, I still love white dishes. In this case, white with a golden edge. Setting your table with these plates creates a chique setting, and food always looks great on a white plate. In the middle however, I added some color. Let me show you more!

Sostrene Grene is very focused on timeless items, that you can use time after time. I highly support this, and tableware is the perfect example for this. And if you do want to combine this, you can always mix and match with your other (colorful) dishes. You for instance don’t always have to buy 6 plates, how about 2 of each?
When it comes to setting a table, it’s all about layers. In this case I used 3 layers to set my base. A dinner plate, a smaller plate and top of that a bowl. Then I added the glasses and slowly worked my way to the middle. If you make sure there are different heights and the tableware is evenly spreaded over your table, you are doing great! The finishing touch for me (although it’s actually your first step) is to add a tablecloth. It really elevates any table setting.

As you can see, the white plates and soft colors of the other tableware create the perfect balance for our bright pink walls.

I hope you liked this post and thank you for reading. I wish you a wonderful day!
Love, Marrit
