Somehow Scandinavian houses always a “breakfast nook” next to their dining table. I am always very inspired by Scandinavian interiors so a few weeks ago I finally knew what to do with this small area in our kitchen. The thing with horizontal areas that don’t have a particular function is that they tend to become a spot for mess you don’t know what to do with. To avoid pretty corners like this to turn into messy corners, it’s a good idea to give it a clear function. Like we did here, to eat our breakfast.
The stool is from IKEA and it’s called Skogsta. We were looking for a black stool but I feel this wooden color warms up our pretty industrial kitchen.
And while the radiator is pretty ugly and the floor still needs to be replaced, I think we’re really getting somewhere :-)
