Trolley as nightstand

If you are a longtime follower of this blog, you might recognize this trolley. I bought it at the thrift store and it’s been one of my favorite thrift finds since. When I bought it I blogged about it here and as you can see there, that post is from december 2014 so it’s been with us for over 2 years now. I haven’t even thought about selling it so that says a lot! It has seen every room in our house already and today I show you it’s great as a nightstand as well.

A lot of people choose matching nightstand for both sides of the bed, but I prefer to mix it up. Probably because I just feel they are too many pretty options to just choose 1, ha. Usually I just use side tables as nightstands, they have the perfect height and are usually very lean, if you know what I mean. I prefer nightstands to be not too massive, to keep it looking fresh.

So! This trolley might not be everyones first choice for a nightstand, but as you can see it works perfectly. It can store a lot of stuff and it’s a great accessory for any bedroom. I styled it with some magazines, a dried flower (there it is again) and some other small items. My glasses for instance, cause I need those when I wake up in the morning. I think everyone has their standard setup for their nightstand, right?

So my point today is: truly anything can work as a nightstand. Just give it a try! A pile of magazines, a coffee table, a guitar amplifier (been there done that!), a chair.. Should I continue? Take a look around the house and test some options. If you don’t like it, just try again.

I am happy with this trolley next to my bed and you.. have fun trying!
