Murano Mushroom

Murano Mushroom

A small makeover of my favorite livingroom corner, with a new addition! Care to see more?

I’ve been looking for a “Murano Mushroom” lamp for a long time. These vintage lights are very popular now, and I love their 70’s feel. I didn’t however want to spend €400 on it, or have it shipped from the other side of the world. So after a year of searching, I decided to ask on my Instagram, is anyone was coincidentally selling a Murano Mushroom. And well, someone did!

It may not be the classic round shape I was initially looking for, but I love that it’s a bigger model. And the classic stripe really did the trick for me. Thank you Nikita for selling me your lamp (see their Instagram here)! Because it has this matte glass with the stripe, it gives the most beautiful light when you turn it on. Let me show you!

Isn’t that gorgeous? ♥

But that’s not the only change I made in this corner, as you might have spotted already. I found this beautiful yellow Ikat lamp shade via Etsy, and used a foot I already had. And so somehow there was yellow in our house! It’s not that I dislike yellow at all, but somehow it’s not a color I use often. But now, with the yellow lamp shade and those matching dried flowers from Aimelie, I like the sunny look it gives.

So, just a small update on the blog today! I often call this my favorite livingroom corner, because it’s so easy to (re)style. It’s not that big, and the folding screen is one of my favorite finds so immediately sets the right mood. I often switch with furniture here, see what it looked like before HERE.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Love, Marrit
