Not too long ago I wrote about the freshly painted green ceiling of our kitchen, see blogpost HERE. And while we are very happy with this result, it made me realize even more that this window corner of our kitchen was still too empty. The contrast with the brick wall on the left was too big so I searched for something that would fix this. I found these plant hangers from Ferm Living and knew they would be perfect!
As you can see this balances it out really well. I chose plants that will hang over the pots as they grow over time and I think this will make it look even better. I didn’t have the patience to wait that long to blog about it, though :)
We are so happy with our green ceiling! The Urban Jungle trend for interior is far from over and these two changes for our kitchen match that trend perfectly. Another item on my wishlist is from the same brand, this plant box. I just love adding greens to our home, it adds so much character.
These plant hangers are made from ceramics so it reminds me a bit of the 70’s. I felt 1 plant hanger wouldn’t be enough so we hung all 3 available sizes here. It is also a really good way to accentuate the height of this area.
My husband like to use this nook to eat his breakfast so it’s great this doesn’t affect the counter top. It is just one of those details from our old house that I love so much.
In a short amount of time I’ve added a lot of beautiful accessories to our kitchen and it really makes me love our kitchen even more. For instance these plant hangers and these salt&pepper grinders that I used for a giveaway on my blog a while back. Every kitchen can benefit from beautiful design accessories, especially the not-so-pretty ones. So if you don’t like your kitchen, maybe you live in a rental and are not able to change it, make sure to add some beautiful accessories. It will look so much better!
